Established by Ava Porter and Farhad Akhmetov in 2017, Fifth Corner Films is an LA-based collective of award-winning filmmakers and visual artists who make striking original narrative, documentary, experimental, audio-visual, and multimedia content. Through grants, fellowships, and private investments we direct and produce our own work. We also offer on-location and remote production and post-production services for film, television, web, live performance (concert visuals), and gallery installation.

FARHAD AKHMETOV
Director, Producer, Art Director, VFX Supervisor

Farhad Akhmetov is an art+tech Swiss army knife. An interdisciplinary media artist and filmmaker, he does everything from pyro to pipeline, and has produced dozens of advertisements and main title sequences for film and television, over 50 short documentaries, 2 feature films, 30 digital media projects, and 20 public artworks throughout the United States.

AVA PORTER
Director, Cinematographer, Editor, Colorist

Ava Porter is an omnivorous multidisciplinary artist and filmmaker whose work spans documentary, narrative, experimental cinema, and fine art. She has exhibited and screened work internationally and is a Fulbright Fellow (2017), an MFJC Fellow (2022), and a recipient of the Bruce Geller Memorial WORD Artist Prize (2018).
